Antonescu said he discussed with some members from the Social-Democrat Party (PSD), the Democrat-Liberal Party (PDL) and the Hungarian minority party (UDMR) and they would agree with such a formula.
The liberal leader said a parliamentary majority could be established to support this formula, and mentioned talks on the matter will be tackled with the parties tonight.
The government led by Emil Boc was dismissed today as the no-confidence motion passed, after 254 parliamentary voted for, 176 voted against, and four votes were canceled.
Romania's Constitution foresees that in the current situation Romania's president has to appoint someone for the prime-minister position, after discussing with the parties from the Parliament. The candidate for the premier position will ask the confidence vote from the Parliament in ten days time.
If the Parliament fails to grant the confidence vote for the new government within 60 days since the first call, after the parliamentary have rejected at least two solicitations, the president can dissolve the Parliament and anticipated elections will be organized. However, the Parliament cannot be dissolved in the last six months of the president's mandate.
