The former Labor Minister, Marian Sarbu, said on September 8 he was hoping to convince the government to accept a minimum wage on the economy of 705 lei in 2010.
Pogea invited the representatives of the trade unions to discuss at 4 p.m. They will also meet on October 8 at 9:30 a.m.
The interim labor minister also mentioned he asked the unions to come with initiatives on raising the absorption degree of unemployed and some proposals for new investment projects in the economy.
Some 20,000 trade unionists are expected to protest in Bucharest tomorrow, one of the reasons being the increase of the minimum wage to 740 lei in 2010 and to 1,300 lei in 2014.
The president of BNS trade union, Dumitru Costin, mentioned some 800,000 people receive a minimum salary of 600 lei per month, and 700,000 others have a monthly income of 700 lei.
