The president refused to mention who will be appointed for the premier seat if Croitoru does not get the Parliament's approval.
Basescu nominated the advisor of Romania's central bank governor Lucian Croitoru for the prime-minister seat yesterday. The president said he had two other options except Croitoru.
The National-Liberal Party (PNL), the Social-Democrat Party (PSD), the Conservative Party (PC), the Hungarian minority party (UDMR) and the minorities proposed Sibiu mayor Klaus Johannis for the position, while PDL wanted a political player at the government's helm.
