Indexes on BSE end session slightly down, influenced by declines on the external markets
The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) reported mild drops at closing bell, the five SIFs losing an average 0.71 percent, while the market eased 0.21 percent, as the downtrend of the large European bourses shadowed the optimism generated by the U.S. markets in the previous session. Transactions totaled 21.6 million lei.
The BET index reflecting the evolution of the ten best companies on the market idled at 4,469.06 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus financial companies dipped 0.24 percent to 2,653.02.
The BET-FI index of the five financial companies SIF lost 0.71 percent to 21,264.81, while the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna soared 0.62 percent to 9,383.14.
The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies reduced 0.26 percent to 431.26 and the BET-NG index showing the evolution of the power market lowered 0.80 percent to 593.26.
On the European markets, the FTSE index in London slipped 0.24 percent to 5,125.58, while the DAX index in Frankfurt plunged 0.94 percent to 5,535.16. The CAC40 index in Paris plummeted 0.85 percent to 3,682.45.
