Another swine flu patient confirmed in Romania, count reaches ten
A new case of contamination with the A/H1N1 swine flu virus was confirmed today in Romania, the patient having returned from Toronto, Canada, on June 8, announced the Health Ministry.
The
patient went to see a doctor on June 9 and is now hospitalized at the
infectious diseases institute "Matei Bals" in Bucharest.
The
number of swine flu cases in Romania has thus reached 11, all those
contaminated having returned from North America. All the previous nine
cases were sent home after the lab tests showed the virus had been
destroyed.
The
swine flu symptoms begin to show one week after the virus was caught.
Doctors recommend staying out of crowded places and obeying the hygiene
rules, especially the washing of hands.
