Three of the new cases were reported in Bucharest, while the counties of Bihor, Cluj and Iasi counted one case each. The patients are being treated with antivirals.
Some four million Romanians could catch swine flu during the pandemic, according to estimates, the epidemic peak to be recorded in February - April. However, the Health Ministry is not worried as there will be enough vaccine and antiviral doses for everyone, said the government secretary within the ministry, dr. Geza Molnar.
The Health Ministry plans to vaccinate three million institutionalized children
within a campaign against swine flu.
